I talk about this subject so much on LittleGuru but for good reason - it’s delicious! Funky Raw sell a great chocolate-making kit that includes everything you need to make masses of the stuff so if you are interested in making the change from roasted to raw then what better way than to make bars, truffles, flowers and shells in your very own kitchen?

The team at Funky Raw sent me a sample kit so I could see just how easy it is to use - and you can witness the results in the picture above (shame you can’t smell or taste them - YUM!) In the kit you’ll receive the following ingredients:

Cacao powder 500g

Cacao butter 1 kg

Lucuma powder 500g

Raw agave nectar 500g

Carob powder 500g

Coconut butter 500g

Mesquite meal 500g

Vanilla powder 113g

Cacao nibs 250g

2 sets of silicone chocolate moulds (hearts, shells, flowers or playing cards)

Chocolate-making recipe sheet

You can add anything you like into the mix. I opted (for one batch - you can make many with the ingredients you get) to mix in freeze-dried durian. Durian has been hailed as ‘King of the Fruits’ and has a rich custard-almond taste. You could also add goji berries, manuka honey, dried mango or anything your taste-buds desire.
